It is illegal to do so.
Sec. 8-11. Landing aircraft on beaches.

It shall be unlawful for any person to land or take off or operate any aircraft on the beach and what is commonly known as Seawall Boulevard except at heliports designated and approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Uhhhh this isn’t a stupid law. There are many pilots that go back country flying and land on beaches all the time. In fact there is one beach airport called copalis state (which is faa approved) on the Washington coast that is the main feature of many youtube videos. Check them out. Its way more common, and not as dangerous, than you might think.
