You may not store a car you don’t drive anymore on your property
If you dont drive it, you cant keep it. You must let that classic 66 Mustang convertable rot and rust in the junk yard if you dont drive it.
Sec. 22-44. Storage, depositing prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any person, either as owner, occupant, lessee, agent, tenant, or otherwise, to store or deposit, or cause or permit to be stored or deposited, any abandoned, junked or discarded motor vehicle or motor vehicles upon any public or private property within the city. (Code 1955, 20-11)
Well, first of, the law speaks about “abandoned, junked or discarded motor vehicle”
So basically, no finders keepers for abandoned vehicles.
But you can store your own car, that doesn’t count as abandoning it.
