$500 fine or 60 days in jail if you’re caught screeching your tires in this town.

10.12.010 Tire screeching unlawful.

A. It is unlawful for any person or persons, while operating a motor vehicle on the streets or highways of the city, to accelerate or speed the vehicle in such a manner or to turn a corner in such a manner as to cause the tires to screech.

B. Any person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars, imprisonment for a period not to exceed thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
