Maybe this law is related to the fireman one, WIFE BEATING ALLOWED IN HUNINGTON!
This could just be a co-incidence but it’s legal to beat your wife as long as you beat her in public on a Sunday on the courthouse steps. Yay, they allow domestic violence, I wonder if some wife had a messy affair with a fireman after walking by a firehouse and her husband got a law passed that allowed him to beat her every Sunday as a reminder….hmmmmm

This Wife Beating law is a legitimate law that exists here in Huntington BUT…. it’s one of those laws that smart folks wouldn’t take advantage of because When the law was written passed and put on the books the County Courthouse sat directly east of and connected to the County Jail.
