Holy shit! This is an unconstitutional establishment of religion because it establishes all religions that believe in a supreme being while excluding those that don’t!! (i.e. Atheism, some forms of Buddhism, I think Bahai faith, etc.)

I resent your obvious sectionalism, Michael. I’m a Texan and even I think this is a stupid law. Not all Texans support our government. In fact, from where I’m standing, most of us hate it. We don’t agree with most of our laws and resent our governor and how he runs the state.
For example, dId you know that right now in Texas the government is trying to force children out of public schools and into private, religion based schools by cutting the school budgets? Over half of DISD teachers have been cut for the 2011/2012 school year. I for one think this is stupid seeing as Dallas has some of the best schools in the nation (the Science and Engineering Magnet and TAG magnet were both in the top 50 schools of the US) Most of the mid-lower classes can’t afford private schooling right now. In fact, some of the upper class can’t afford it either. As a result, most of the state’s education rate will plummet. This means the state economy will suffer from dumb-asses taking over the businesses and not knowing the first thing about how to run them.
You can’t just group all Texans together. I’m Texan. I’m also atheist and bi. I’m a 15 year-old white girl who is afraid of not getting into a good college because she’s from Texas and education is suffering. I’m also afraid of being kicked out of my house because my parents can’t get good jobs. Texans aren’t all old rich white christians. My best friend also hates most of these stupid, stupid laws and she’s a 15 year-old hispanic, catholic school girl. Don’t begrudge us for our stereo-types. I’m just like any teenager in boston.
