It’s probably unlawful to drink in a bar between those hours because the bar is closed and you’d be trespassing.

Columbia is a college town…the bars hardly ever close

This law ISN’T TRUE! I live here in Missouri and there are quite a few bars open til 3am! Where is this stupid website getting this information?

@kk -Columbia IS a college town but the bars in Columbia have to have every customer out by 1:30 am.
@Katie -The website says this law is specific to Columbia. I agree with you that there are plenty of bars in MO that stay open until 3 A.M. Some of which are in Kansas City and St. Louis.
From personal experience, even if you work at the bar and are drinking after bar close you will get a ticket if the cops catch you.
I can’t speak to the 6 A.M. portion of this law.
