Driving on sidewalks prohibited

Driving your car on a sidewalk is strictly prohibited unless a driveway crosses such sidewalk.

Sec. 12-43. Vehicles not to be driven on sidewalks.

The driver of a vehicle shall not drive upon any sidewalk area, except on driveways across such sidewalks.

Visiting the dead after midnight prohibited

You are prohibited from visiting the cemetery between the hours of 12:00 to 6:00 am.

Sec. 5-13. Prohibited hours for entry.

It shall be unlawful for any person to enter or remain upon the premises of city cemeteries, whether on foot, by means of a vehicle, or otherwise, between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. each and every day, except for law enforcement personnel and other city employees while on official business.

Joy riding in cemeteries illegal

It is illegal to joy ride through a cemetery.

Sec. 5-8. Use of vehicles.

It shall be unlawful for any person to enter the city cemeteries with a vehicle, except for the purposes of carrying material to make graves, building monuments, carrying tombstones or other material for ornamental purposes, transporting a dead body for interment, conveying therefrom a dead body exhumed, or other legitimate business related to the city cemeteries.
