Driving a camel on the highway is illegal
This would probably violate the minimum speed law.
Related Stupid Laws, Crazy Laws, and just plain Stupid Laws:
- Driving in circles prohibited on 23rd Avenue
- Be careful when you ride your camel down Canyon Drive
- Camels can’t goto the movies
- No driving within an arms length of alcohol…
- Not allowed to drive too much!

Virginia City is the cause of this law, which holds the International Camel Races every year in the fall, and sits on Highway 241, which is known as “C” St as it runs through town. Part of the Camel Races festivities is a parade, which used to include the camels, which made an unholy mess of the highway.
