  • Hey, a former resident of South Berwick.

This isn’t a dumb law. This is just a segment of South Berwick’s parking ordnance that someone didn’t research very well.

The reason why people can’t park in front of the Dunkin Donuts is because this section of W. Maine Street just isn’t wide enough to allow for street parking, simple as that. And it’s not just limited to the Dunkin Donuts, either; people are not allowed to park in front of ANY of homes or businesses on that stretch of road.

Besides, the Dunkin Donuts in question is mostly a drive-through business. But, if you really need to park, the place dose have a parking lot in the back (mostly for employees, but customers can park as well). Why the heck park in the street if you have a perfectly good parking lot, right?
