Fornicators and Adulterers = 6 months in jail and/or $500 fine

If you’re not married and living together or having sex with someone other than your spouse, you will receive a 6month prison sentence and/or $500 fine.

97-29-1. Adultery and fornication; unlawful cohabitation.

If any man and woman shall unlawfully cohabit, whether in adultery or fornication, they shall be fined in any sum not more than five hundred dollars each, and imprisoned in the county jail not more than six months; and it shall not be necessary, to constitute the offense, that the parties shall dwell together publicly as husband and wife, but it may be proved by circumstances which show habitual sexual intercourse.

Most vagrants would probably opt for the 30 days in prison.

Whenever any person shall have been convicted of being a vagrant, the justice of the peace or mayor or police justice by whom such person was tried shall commit the person to jail for not less than ten nor more than thirty days, or shall require such person to give bond, with sufficient security, to be approved by said justice or mayor or police justice, in any sum not less than two hundred and one dollars, for the future industry and good conduct of such person for one year from the date of giving of such bond.
