If you don’t believe my interpretation just look up the word “issue” in a dictionary. You will see that one of its connotations is offspring. The reason why the law would be concerned with legitimacy of such children would be for inheritance / probate claims. Thus this law deals with a not implausible situation such as where two siblings separated at birth marry and have a child, without knowing they are brother and sister. Then should the parents die the fact that the child is the “issue” of an incestuous union does not disqualify him from claiming right to inherit the deceased property, etc, so long as the marriage has not been annulled prior to death. There is no need for a link. Just learn to read English carefully. If you do not believe me ask a lawyer in person.

Lawyer, can you site this? Unless you’re part of the judicial or have a link from a judicial official that concurs with your statement, your interpretation could be wrong as well. I think we’re all missing something, but it’s not related to incest or kids…

The interpretation that incestuous marriage is legal is wrong. What the text of this law actually means is that children (“the issue”) of incestuous marriages are considered legitimate children according to the law. Not the incestuous marriage itself is legal. The creator of this site is thus either being deliberately misleading or misunderstands the meaning of the word “issue” in this context.
