61-1-6. Display of red or black flag unlawful.

It shall be unlawful for any person to have in his possession or to display any red or black flag, or to display any other flag, emblem, device or sign of any nature whatever, indicating sympathy with or support of ideals, institutions or forms of government, hostile, inimical or antagonistic to the form or spirit of the constitution, laws, ideals and institutions of this state or of the United States.

If you publically swear in West Virginia, it’s illegal and you are subjust to a $1 fine for each act.

61-8-15. Profane swearing and drunkenness; penalty.

Ok, so don’t make fun of someone who you challeneged and they turned down that challenge. Punishable by up to six months in jail.

If any persons, not married to each other, lewdly and lasciviously associate and cohabit together, or, whether married or not, be guilty of open or gross lewdness and lasciviousness, they shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than fifty dollars, and may, in the discretion of the court, be imprisoned not exceeding six months, and, upon a repetition of the offense, they shall, upon conviction, be confined in jail not less than six nor more than twelve months. In prosecutions for adultery and fornication, and for lewdly and lasciviously cohabiting together, the persons named in the indictment shall be presumed to be unmarried persons in the absence of proof to the contrary.

Appearantly, no child is allowed to goto school with breath smelling of wild onions.

A certain type of wild onion grows in West Virginia called a “ramp”. These plants are renowned for their foul odor, which can supposedly be detected from up to a mile away while being cooked.

Â OH WHAT FUN IT IS TO EACH WILD ONIONS!

Maybe this law is related to the fireman one, WIFE BEATING ALLOWED IN HUNINGTON!

This could just be a co-incidence but it’s legal to beat your wife as long as youÂ beat her in public on a Sunday on the courthouse steps. Yay, they allow domestic violence, I wonder if some wife had a messy affair with a fireman after walking by a firehouse and her husband got a law passed that allowed him to beat her every Sunday as a reminder….hmmmmm

Fireman are not allowed to flirt with women in Hunington.

If you’re a fireman don’t whistle or flirt with any female passing a firehouse.Â Men, there’s appearantly been widespread problems with horny women attacking firemen in Hunington, make sure they stay away from fire houses.

No big cat walking allowed, not even on a leash.

In Alderson, WV one may not walk a Lion, Tiger or Leopard, even if it’s on a leash. One wonders why in the world they would even have a law on the books like this about exotic cats.

No funny clergy men allowed in Nicholas County!

Nicholas County appearantly doesn’t know that there is such as thing as Seperation of Church and State…..They have a law that states that no Member of the clergy is allowed to tell jokes or humerious stories from the pulpit during a church service.Â How contradictory to the Seperation of Church and State laws as interpretated from the Establishment Clause of the First Ammendment in the Bill of Rights.
